About Huffman

Huffman Elementary is named after Joseph T. Huffman who was born in Spencer County, Kentucky on April 24, 1837. In 1858, Joseph Huffman moved to Collin County, Texas. He settled with his wife near White Rock Creek. Joseph Huffman was a very active member in Church and a charter member the Frankford Masonic Lodge. He was one of the early farmers who settled in the area where Huffman Elementary School is located today. Joseph T. Huffman died on October 4, 1908 and was buried at Frankford. His gravesite can be visited today.

Huffman Elementary was built in 1984 and is the home of the Huffman Hawks!  Our principal and the staff make us one of the best schools in PISD.  Our parent community is extremely supportive and active. The Huffman staff and community recognizes the benefits of working together for the good of our children.

Huffman is a wonderful place to learn and grow. Through love and dedication, Huffman will always be a special place for every person that comes through our doors.
