5th grade parents and guardians!

Yearbooks: We are in the second year of a fun tradition - 5 grade ads! If you would like to purchase an “ad” for your student click HERE. Supplies are limited so don’t delay!
FYI - PTA is purchasing a soft cover yearbook for every student who has not already purchased one for the year - we want to make sure every student gets to keep a piece of the memories!

Thursday, May 14: PYP Exhibition 5:30-6:30pm

The 5th graders have been working hard on these projects and are excited to share them!  Everyone is invited, including families, friends, parents of younger students, community members, and more!  The presentations will run multiple times on a schedule, but start and end promptly, so please be on time.

Monday, May 18: Fifth Grade Party at Takeoff 6-8pm

PTA has paid for two hours of jump time, socks, and dinner (pizza and drinks) for all fifth grade students!  This is not a drop off event.  There should be a designated adult to supervise each child.  Every child must have a signed waiver to participate.  Visit takeoffplano.com and click WAIVER at the top.

Tuesday: Decorating for Celebration Ceremony after school from 3-4:30.  (No need to sign up, just show up!)

Wednesday: End of year awards for PK-4th Grades during AMPed.

Thursday, May 21: Fifth Grade Fun Day

7:40-10 - Yearbook signing and donuts

10-10:30 - Nuke Em or Kickball Game

10:30-12:40 - Inside Stations:

     -Photobooth/Dance Party Room

     -Hat Making Room

     -Minute to Win It Room

     -Hawk Store

12:40-1:10 - Lunch (catered by PTA)

1:10-2 - EOY Party in the Gym

2-2:30 - Outside Fun

2:30-3 - Clean up & prep for dismissal

Friday: Last Day of School

10:00-11:30 - 5th Grade Celebration Ceremony - reception afterward

         - The school will share an online sign up so badges can be printed ahead of time.  Entry is usually around 9:45 to find seats.
         - Students sit at the front separate from their families and accept their awards after a few speeches and performances.

11:45 - 5th Grade Clap Out – PK-4th grade students and Huffman staff will line the halls to applaud the 5th graders as they walk the halls of Huffman one last time!  Parents are invited to gather outside the main entrance to clap as well.
