Mad Science Night

Our amazing staff is planning an interactive science night on October 28th at 5:30.  This will be an opportunity to do some scientific investigation as a family.  Be sure to mark your calendars because you won't want to miss this!

Are you a member yet?

Our PTA membership numbers are off to a great start, but we would love to have many more families join!  Being a PTA member benefits you (discounts), your child (more funding for enrichment), and Huffman's future (helping shape the Huffman culture).  Check out our info flyer HERE and click below to join!

Snacks Needed!

We need snack donations!  Because of the size of our school we have students that eat lunch as early as 10:00 am and as late as 1:05 pm.  Next time you see a great deal on individually packaged, nut-free snacks grab a box for our students so they can focus on their lessons and not the minutes until lunch-time =)

State Fair of Huffman

We would like to officially invite you to our First Annual Fall Carnival, the State Fair of Huffman! Saturday, November 6th from 4 to 7pm join us at Huffman/Old Shepard Park!  We will have:

  • food - corn dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, funnel cakes, and more!
  • games and prizes - ring toss, cake walk, plinko, fishbowl toss, milk bottle knockdown...
  • activities - face painting, balloon animals, dunk tank, crafts!
  • mascots - Hank (Huffman Hawk), Champ (Dallas Mavs), and Rowdy (Dallas Cowboys)!

This is shaping up to be such a fun event, but we need your help!  Entry is free, but tickets will be required at many stations. We are preselling tickets which will be sent home in student folders the week of the fair (and save you from having to stand in line on Saturday)!  Click HERE for tickets!

We also are offering the opportunity to sponsor a station or activity, starting at $50.  Click HERE to view the sponsorship choices.

We would love to have booths for local businesses, community partners, and resources, so reach out to Jenna Maynard at community@huffmanpta.org for more information.
