Last year in addition to our Valentine's/ Friendship Parties our students participated in some fun service projects.  This year's parties will look a little different (no passing out cards, but they will still have a treat and plenty of fun) and we are excited that the service project piece will still happen!  The school is hosting a sock and hygiene drive for the whole month, so check Mrs. Allen's Smore Newsletter for more details (and next week's daily dress up themes)!

Thursday, February 18th from 5-9pm is Huffman Spirit Night at Palio's Pizza at the Southwest corner of Park & Preston.  (It is kind of tucked in away from the street and facing Market Street.)  Mention Huffman PTA and we receive 20% of the proceeds!  This offer is good for dine-in or carry out.

Typically in February we would celebrate Black History Month with Black Excellence Night... We may not be able to celebrate in person, but we certainly can take advantage of our Community Facebook page and share our favorite stories, people, moments, poems, books, photos, and more.  Visit our page HERE and learn more.

This is an opportunity for current, new-ish, transfer, possibly incoming, or even experienced Huffman parents to meet and chat about our incredible school.  We will send out a Zoom link that week, so be looking for that!

The PISD Education Foundation hosts a yearly fundraiser to benefit programs and initiatives that support students, families, employees, and classrooms.  Although this year's event must be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home, it promises to still be wonderful.  For more information visit www.skiplano.org

Every year the PTA hosts an online auction where 100% of the proceeds benefit the PTA and our students!  The success of this auction depends heavily on the Huffman Community, to gather donations and then bid on the items!  This year may be a little different, but we still want to work together to collect as many awesome items as we can.  If you have a connection to a business or a great idea, please reach out to Sarah Thomas and let her know.  Her email is community@huffmanpta.org and she looks forward to hearing from you!
